As a forward thinking company Pafra Adhesives have historically brought many firsts to the UK adhesives market ever since the companies foundation more than 50 years ago with the introduction of PVA based adhesives to replace animal glues. Since then we have continually developed our products to allow ever increasing cost effectiveness in use and are proud that our products enable customers to run at the highest of line speeds (up to 650 m/min) with minimal down time.

Being attuned to popular concerns we have adopted the most current green practices and technologies and as part of this action we have turned our expertise to the development of sustainable & compostable adhesives (Green Glue).

Given the companies history within the adhesive sector we are very proud to be in a position to offer a water based compostable adhesive that meets EN13432 standard for industrial composting. There is also available a suitable crosslinking agent proven to meet EN13432.  Our current products are suitable for film lamination, flexible packaging and composite paper / film packaging.

Our Compostable Range of products offer convertors an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional products. We are currently seeking partners to assist in the further development of our compostable adhesive range to extend beyond the markets we currently serve.  Additionally we are currently seeking partners to develop a range of sustainable sourced and compostable adhesives. Primarily with a focus on hot melt applications we are also at the inception of developing a water based product.
