REACH Statement
Our adhesive products are not required to be registered under the REACH regulations (EC No. 1907/2006) as they are preparations. PAFRA itself is only a downstream user with no obligation to register any materials.
As a downstream user we are reliant upon our suppliers to register raw materials. We source raw materials from EU based chemical suppliers. We have been and remain in communication with our suppliers to establish which materials if any will no longer be available under REACH. We are assured that all substances that are subject to REACH have been pre-registered and that supply will be uninterrupted. Therefore we will be able to continue manufacturing our current range of adhesives and our customers will be unaffected.
As you will most probably be aware part of the registration process requires that intended uses and exposure scenarios of chemical substances must be communicated through the supply chain. To aid our suppliers in making the correct registrations and complete safety documentation Pafra adhesives have communicated over 300 use descriptors including those recommended by FECIA (European adhesives association). We are confident that these use descriptors cover all our customers requirements. A copy is available upon request.
As Pafra are reliant upon our suppliers to register raw materials we are not able to give a guarantee that our use descriptors will be included in our raw material registration dossiers. If in time we need to withdraw a product we shall inform you at an early stage and make every effort to provide a suitable replacement.
We can assure you that all products supplied will comply with the requirements of REACH.
If you require further information regarding REACH please contact me directly as I am the contact for all REACH related issues.
