Frequently Asked Questions

How can I stop windows flying off at high speeds?

Some machines bend the envelope immediately after gluing the window. When machines run at high speeds the windows do not have time to bond properly. A modified window patch adhesive is required. Contact Us

How do I overcome splashing of adhesive at high machine speeds.

Stencil applied adhesives can splash at the high speeds of today’s machines. Careful formulation of the adhesive is required to overcome this. Pafra’s envelope range includes high speed side seam products. Contact Us

How do I prevent skinning of the flap gum?

All flap gums skin over time, however it is not a problem provided the skin does not become detached from the tray sides. It actually helps reduce thickening of the adhesive below the skin.
